Geographic Information Systems (GIS) are used to develop computer-based mapping and analysis of geological, engineering and land related information. GIS integrates geographic and other cartographic data input and analyses with sophisticated database technology that provides query and statistical analysis capabilities.
SEC-GIS offers extensive experience in mapping using the ARC/GIS format based on software developed by ESRI.
The GIS mapping system used by SEC-GIS enables the client to "Point and Click" on the intelligent GIS maps to ascertain information about a particular point. These intelligent maps are linked to databases, scanned/digitized images and project or prospect information.
The following is just a few examples of the services offered by our GIS group:
- Implementation and development of Auto CAD standards tailored to specific client needs.
- Custom program development and implementation.
- Conversion of client Auto CAD files and drawings into GIS format for creation of intelligent interactive mapping.
- Intelligent GIS maps linked to databased, scanned images, project/prospect information or existing client land or engineering databases.
- Digitizing and conversion services to convert all existing data to GIS format.
